About Sound Forge Pro Guide

Sound Forge Pro doesn't get a lot of good coverage online. Most of what exists is either years out of date, written by someone clearly copying from the manual, or drowned in SEO fluff that doesn't answer the actual question.

This site exists to fix that. Every article here is written from actual use — not from press releases, not from feature lists, and not from software that's been installed but not seriously touched.

I'm an independent music producer based in Germany. I've been writing, recording, and mixing my own material since the mid-2010s — home studios, hardware that keeps breaking at the wrong time, and enough hours in a waveform editor to have real opinions about which tools waste your time and which ones don't.

Sound Forge Pro has been part of my setup for mastering and post-production work. When Boris FX acquired it from MAGIX in March 2026, I started this site to document what actually changed, what still works, and what the tool is genuinely good for — in language that assumes you already know what audio editing is.
